Real cures for real patients: ethical and proven adult stem cell research

A USA Today story about our lawsuit to enforce federal law prohibiting human embryo destruction notes that "Stem cell research has the potential to produce breakthroughs in treating life-threatening diseases that have resisted traditional treatment."

More specifically, only the type of stem cell research that does not kill a living human embryo has demonstrated effectiveness in real patients, currently treating over 70 diseases. Embryonic stem cell research destroys living, genetically complete human embryos to harvest embryonic stem cells, which are powerful yet unstable and produce tumors. Despite hundreds of millions of federal and institutional dollars, embryo-destroying research has not cured a single patient. Read more

An election year agenda being unveiled by House Republicans Thursday will include language affirming the party's support of "traditional marriage" and its opposition to abortion rights, House GOP sources tell POLITICO.

The document, to be unveiled at a hardware store in Sterling, Va., will include "a commitment to life and a commitment to marriage," one source said. Read more

More calls to de-fund Planned Parenthood

Just a couple of months ago, a coalition of congressmen called for a federal audit of the nation’s largest abortion provider because of dishonesty in their reporting. About a hundred representatives joined a bi-partisan legal effort to defund Planned Parenthood.

And they’re in trouble again.

Two former Planned Parenthood employees-turned-whistleblowers have made stunning allegations regarding the abortion provider’s accounting practices. In a case now pending in federal court P. Victor Gonzalez alleges that he saw millions in fraudulent overbilling to state and federal governments when he worked as Chief Financial Officer for Planned Parenthood of Los Angeles. Read more

Hawaii Right to Life Congratulates Pro-Life Primary Election Candidates

HONOLULU, HI - Hawaii Right Life extends its heartfelt congratulations to the dozens of pro-life candidates who participated in the primary election on September 18 and pledges to continue the effort to elect men and women who will respect life through our laws.

Executive Director Janet Grace commented, “Regardless of the outcome of the various races, all of Hawaii’s pro-life candidates are heroes to those of us who respect the sanctity of human life.”

Grace went on to say, “Hawaii Right to Life PAC is hopeful that Hawaii’s people will unite in the truth that all innocent human life has inestimable worth. The only way this will happen is when we exercise our privilege to vote for candidates with uncompromising values. Hawaii's "Choose Life" License Plate in Danger

Hawai'i drivers are in danger of losing the "Choose Life" plate. There are only 98 plates on the road and the DMV requires 150.

All you have to do is go to any Department of Motor Vehicles office and ask for one. Initial cost is $30.50.

Upon renewal, $25 per year will be added to your registration, so your cost is only $2.08 per month. Aloha Pregnancy Care & Counseling Centers, a pregnancy resource center that provides medical services, receives $20 per plate every quarter, which helps save lives.
