Father Bill Xenos of Risen Lord Community Church is spearheading the release of the pro-life movies “October Baby” in Hawaii. Here is his open letter:
I want to begin by thanking each and every one who has made a commitment to bringing the movie “October Baby” to Hawaii. Because of your generous support I have signed the agreement and am awaiting the outcome of Provident Films negotiations with one of our theaters.
The next step will be a preview screening for all those who have committed to supporting this movie, along with any organization which might be interested. The only problem is the fact that we will need to preview the movie no later than the 29th of this month (this has to do with contractual agreements with the distributor).
We will preview the movie on Monday, 27 February at 7pm. The preview will take place at Risen Lord Community Church located in Waipahu (94-265 Leowahine St.). There will be a short introduction along with information concerning the purchase of tickets, then we will sit back and enjoy the movie. Additionally, coffee and dessert will be served.
Please send me an email or give the church a call to RSVP with the total number who will attend (space is limited as our church is not large). I am sorry but with the short notice of this event we will not be able to provide child care. I believe the movie would be appropriate for teens and if you have a teenager you would like to bring along please just let me know. I will send out more information as soon as I receive it.
Finally, please continue to pray. This movie has been endorsed by almost every pro-life organization, and I believe God will use this to change hearts and minds concerning the sanctity of each and every human life. I look forward to hearing from you.
Below you will find two links. Click on them to access websites. The first link will take you to a movie poster with a link to both the movie trailer and a form to indicate you will attend the screening next Monday at 7pm (the second link is simply the form). This is where I need your help. Please get the word out to your pastors and anyone involved in leadership within the pro-life movement. They are the folks who we want to come out next week.
All you need to do is fill out and submit the screening form, this will really help for next week as we will have a good count of attendees. Finally, as soon as I have information on the theater and the actual purchase of tickets I will let everyone know. Thank you for your patience and prayers.
